Non surgical rhinoplasty or nose job requires non surgical procedure to reshape the contours of your nose. Traditional, changing the shape of your nose requires a patient to undergo expensive surgery with long recovery period for a nose to be altered. The drawback or disadvantage of this approach is its time consuming process. It takes a long time for the patient to recover before being able to see the results. It might be possible that after all the fuss, the results might not want be what you want.
What is non surgical rhinoplasty
Non surgical rhinoplasty requires the injection of fillers into your nose. These injectable filler have been used y surgeons for a long time on our faces. Now, they are able to apply that to our nose with great results. In case you are not sure what fillers are, they are packets of gel like chemicals that are suitable for your body. In recent times, FDA has approved a number of fillers that can be used for nose jobs. Some of the more common types of fillers include:
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers: These fillers feel very soft and look natural and surgeons typically will inject them under the nasal skin. The advantage of HA filler is that you can remove them by using hyaluronidase, rather than another procedure if the patient is not satisfied with the outcome. The downside is that HA filler cannot stand strong pressure and thus are best used when the degree of correction is minor and there is not much scarring to the nose. A HA filler can last for around 6 to 8 months.
Radiesse filler is a filler containing calcium hydroxyapatite particles. These are stronger filler and can be used for noses that have suffered from severe scaring. They can be used to correct that part of the nose, from the radix at the top to the nostrils and tip. Because radiesse is more permanent, it should be only be done by experienced surgeons. The downside of the radiesse filler is the long time process as this is typically done over a number of procedure so that it does damage any skin that might already be weakened by other surgeory. A radiesse filler can last for around 10 to 14 months.
If you are looking for a permanent filler, then Artefill filler is an option. This is a permanent filler and as such, requires the hands of an experienced doctor. Artefill is composed of methyl methacrylate in a bovine collagen carrier. They are layered on a patient’s nose over a couple of months. This long time period is due to the careful attention that is required as the results are permanent.
Benefits or advantages of non surgical rhinoplasty
There are quite a number of benefits that this type of procedure has over traditional procedure. It is definitely less costly than traditional surgical procedure. In fact, the prices are much lower than what you would pay for traditional surgery. It is also less risk and more safe as you don’t need any physical surgery. Finally, the time period required is much less so it is more convenient and you get to see the results quicker as well.
Recovery time for non surgical rhinoplasty
The time needed to recover for this operation is short. Patient can leave the doctor’s office at the same day and takes only a day or two for a complete recovery. Compared to the 2-3 weeks that is needed to recover from traditional rhinoplasty, this is much quicker.

Non surgical rhinoplasty is awesome. I had a really bad botched nose job some years ago. Since then I’ve gone through 4 reconstructive/cosmetic surgeries to fix the damage. The last one still left me with several imperfections dents, uneven bridge, rough skin, etc. And there was no way I would go through another surgery so I decided to go with non-surgical rhinoplasty to fix these problems. And THANK GOD for that!!! Now I have a perfect nose and a renewed self esteem
